I was born and raised in the small town of Fort Payne, AL and completed my MSN at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I moved to Georgia with my two children in 2015. I enjoy spending time with my children, reading, and hiking.

I discovered my passion for the mental health field in in my first year as a nurse. I worked in inpatient psychiatry for over a decade before deciding to further my education and become certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

I believe that mental health treatment should be a collaborative effort between the provider and client. I see my role as a facilitator to help you reach your personal treatment goals. My office is a judgement-free zone where I strive to provide culturally competent, trauma-informed, and LGBTQ+ friendly care to adults and adolescents.
