I was born in Bangladesh and moved to New York City with my family when I was 11 years old. Later my family moved to New Jersey where I finished my high school and college. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University and received my master’s degree in social work from Stockton University. I discovered my passion to be a listening ear and empathic toward others since I was young. Throughout high school and college I have prepared myself with proper training and education to help those who struggles with their mental health the most. My training is diverse, and I utilize family systems, solution oriented, CBT and narrative based psychotherapies. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief & loss, stress, life transitions, and those seeking personal growth. It is my mission to help my patients navigate their experiences and challenges within their life in a way that is both meaningful and oriented with their personal goals. I work with my patients to help develop the necessary skills, strength, and resilience needed to overcome hardships in life and strengthen their relationships with others. I personally believe in having a balanced life of spending time with my family and friends which brings the most meaning to my life. During my free time I love hiking, traveling, and trying out different cuisines. I enjoy both my work life and my personal life. As I navigate through my personal life, I love being a part of aiding others navigate through their personal life who needs my help.
