Growing up I had always wanted to be in healthcare due to my own health issues. The resilience of the human mind was always super intriguing to me. I have worked in both the medical intensive care unit as well as crisis stabilization units for mental health, but in the end, my passion in mental health won. I have been in the healthcare industry since 2015. When it comes to mental health assessment and treatment, I strive to understand clients in the context of their personal development - which includes upbringing, social history, and their individual beliefs and culture. My goal is to assist those suffering from the disabling effects of their mental health issues overcome those challenges and be able to obtain a safe, stable, and meaningful quality of life. It is my hope that every client understands their treatment plan and be able to feel empowered to take ownership of it prior to walking out of my door. It is only then that we can be successful.
On a personal note, I am a 1st generation immigrant from Vietnam. I came to the US when I was 6 and grew up almost exclusively in Gwinnett County. A big draw of Gwinnett is its diverse array of food, and therefore, I am still there to this day. I am bilingual in Vietnamese and English. I have 2 young children. In my free time, you can find me spending time with my family - exploring different areas in search of the next best dining place, at home with friends over for a get together, or working on the next DIY project in one of the rooms in our home.
